To become a fountain
resin, pigment, wood, silicone, water, and a pump

In 2022, Bowling embarked on a research project to gain a deeper understanding of her decade-long hobby of weightlifting by training as a bodybuilder. She hired a bodybuilding coach and committed to a strict regimen that included a specific diet, water intake, cardio, and lifting. Muscles have fascinated her since girlhood. The texture of skin changes with bulging muscles and veins, even the shape of the body augments itself. A sculpture practice of sorts, but doing so from the inside out.
During this research, Bowling was required to drink at least one gallon of water a day. This caused her to sweat profusely while working out, visibly showing butt sweat through spandex, and leaving overly detailed sweat marks everywhere she sat. The water that wasn’t sweat out, was peed out. This became a constant cycle: drinking, peeing, sweating, repeat. She became a human fountain.
